Tibetan Yantra Yoga and Tsa Lung

Tibetan Yantra Yoga and Tsa Lung practices harness the energies of the subtle body channels to clear blockages, increase vitality, strengthen concentration, enhance innate wisdom, and deepen one’s meditation practice.

Yantra Yoga dates back to 8th century Tibet and Vairocana, who was a student of Guru Padmasambhava. Known as trul-khor, or body mandala, Yantra Yoga practices circulate and rejuvenate the energy of body, speech and mind. Ancient movements, postures, mudras, breathing practices of tsa lung and Buddhist chanting engage body and speech, while visualization and meditation practices train the mind. Tibetan meditation, prostrations, and mantras are taught for karma purification, elimination of negativity, and generating peace. Classes also include the breathing exercises of Tsa Lung, or Tibetan pranayama.

Lama Lobsang Palden learned Yantra Yoga in Tibet from Rinzen Geshe Nyima and other teachers while he was a young monk. As the reincarnation of the Nyingma guru yoga master Rinzen Karma Dorje and an accomplished Yantra Yoga master in his own right, Lama Lobsang has taught yoga and meditation all over the world.

Lama Lobsang’s classes are appropriate for students of all levels of experience, and new students are always welcome. It is recommended to refrain from eating a heavy meal from 2 hours prior to class. Please wear comfortable clothes which are suitable for exercise.

“I have taken Lama Lobsang’s Yantra Yoga class and found it a very powerful practice. I am a Tibetan Buddhist and have met several lamas. Lama Lobsang is an excellent practitioner of the Medicine Buddha, one of the most healing of all Tibetan Buddhist practices. His integration of this wonderful practice with Yantra Yoga can provide an excellent healing environment for his students.”
